In the Cascade Foothills, spring is well underway. Thousands of acres of orchards with 40 varieties of apples, 20 kinds of pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines and more are in bloom or beginning to set fruit. The first asparagus is being harvested and luscious greens are being plucked for salads. Events like the Leavenworth Spring Wine Walk on June 2 and The Big Chill Ciderfest in Cashmere on July 28 are on the horizon. It's a time to play, stay and celebrate the amazing, edible landscape in North Central Washingtron.
