In Celebration of Dangerous Women
March is Women’s History Month and Icicle Creek is proud to celebrate many of the dangerous women who helped to make America great and the land of opportunity it has become. On Sunday, March 20th, 2016 from 1:30 to 5:30 we’ll celebrate these wild and very important women.
1:30-2:45 Canyon Wren Recital Hall - We’ll begin with a showcase of stunning songs, dances, and portrayals of some of history’s most notorious and respected women, as well as the unique talents of this area’s most dangerous women performed by artists from throughout our Valley.
2:45-4:00 Off to Snowy Owl Theater for interesting displays, discussions, living history performers, and great food and drink.
4:00-5:30 Finally, the afternoon will culminate back at Canyon Wren with a gripping one-woman show, “Returning the Bones,” performed and written by acclaimed Seattle actress Gin Hammond who has many Broadway and regional theater credits to her name and is a winner of both the prestigious the Helen Hayes and Katherine Cornell awards for her acting. “Returning the Bones,” based on a true story, features Ms. Hammond playing of multiplicity of roles in this poignant, humorous, and absolutely gripping portrayal.
Plan on spending the whole afternoon, to be moved, informed, and thoroughly entertained! And this is not just for women—men, women and children will all enjoy the stellar entertainment, good food and drink, and the chance to meet with others in Celebration of Dangerous Women.
