The new Native American fishing exhibits opens for it's first full season!
Explore the relationship between salmon and the early, indigenous tribes living along the Columia River. Extensive research combined with a beautifully remodeled space allow you to learn about this fascinating piece of regional histoy. The exhibit displays traditional native fishing tools, trophy - size salmon, maps showing how the spawning migration route once extended up into BC, photos and video featuring images of early Native americans using traditional fishing methods at Celilo Falls, one of the most famous of historical landmarks on the Columbia before the dams were put in place.
