Take the family over to Manson and pick Blueberry Hills!
"Blueberry Kari" Sorenson, owner of Blueberry Hills, reports that picking started on June 28th for a new crop that's "just gorgeous." Their U-Pick berry farm, farmhouse style restaurant, fruit stand and county gift shop are located in Manson on Lake Chelan. Bring the whole family, including the pooch to relax, hang out, pick and enjoy. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries too!
U-PICK $2.50/lb . ALREADY PICKED $4.50/lb
All berries are the same price by the lb. again this year. The only fruit that they pick and sell by the pound are the blueberries. They're available at the fruit stand for $4/lb. They do charge by the lb. when you pick. You can borrow one of their pickin' buckets, but they do run out of 'em so you might bring a couple. You might also bring some large flat boxes that you can pour your berries out into as well.
Blueberries June 28, 2014 -- mid-August
Strawberries June 10, 2014 -- late fall
Raspberries June 19, 2014 -- late fall
Blackberries TBA (August thru late fall)

Pickin'
First things first. Say "Howdy" to Guillermo, our farm foreman. He is in charge and knows which rows are and are not open for picking. Go back to the fruit stand when you are done pickin', where they will weigh your bounty and charge you by the pound.
