On July 20, 2019, The Big Chill Ciderfest will offer over 35 kinds of “Apple Capital” ciders crafted by the 14 cider makers in the region. You'll find flavors that are subtle, diverse, unique and delicious. Yet the only local cider maker to pour a fortified drink will be Phillippi! Known for their fine Applejack, Phillippi Ciderhouse is situated in an orchard that’s been in the family for six generations. It’s quite a story.
"The Wenatchee Valley, produces some of the finest fruit on the planet - and has for a very long time. Over 100 years ago, our great, great, great grandparents began growing fruit along the banks of the mighty Columbia River right here in Wenatchee, Wash. Their formula was straightforward: work hard, grow the best fruit possible, love your family, love your life, then do it all again. To us, that's about as good as it gets.
This is why today, with six generations of fruit growing and packing to our name, we've based Phillippi Fruit on the same, simple model. We're working hard to bring you the finest spirits and ciders, with the highest quality fruit we can find, all while having fun along the way.
We're focusing on products that showcase the high-quality fruit that we've come to know and love for more than a century. Our signature product is Applejack, distilled from hard cider and finished with oak. We also offer cherry and pear brandies styled in the tradition of European schnapps, and are working toward hard apple ciders and a French Calvados-style, barrel-aged apple brandy.
